Profile Summary:


This position is responsible for assisting the Investment Accounting team with the daily, monthly and quarterly accounting close and financial reporting process of Voya Investment Management businesses. Duties include assisting with the coordination of timely and accurate processing of investment accounting information, reporting of Asset under Management, revenue and expenses, posting monthly journal entries, performing account reconciliations for the investment management organization, and interfacing with finance and business colleagues in Voya Investment Management, and the insurance companies of Voya Financial.


Profile Description:

  • Perform daily and monthly investment accounting financial close process.
  • Perform income analysis and trending on assigned asset class. 
  • Review month-end reconciliation between general ledger, sub ledger and investment data repository.
  • Review and coordination of issue resolutions with Investment Operations, Middle Office, Asset Managers and Portfolio Managers.
  • Review of accounting sub ledger to ensure integrity of data related to book yields, book values, market values, and transactions including acquisition, disposition, realized gains/losses.
  • Assist in preparing qualitative and quantitative financial information for 10K, 10Q, Statutory Fillings, Surveys Reports and other assigned projects.
  • Perform regular reviews and tasks related to trade activities in the investment accounting system.
  • Perform regular reviews of receivables write-offs, cash suspense, and par reconciliations prepared by Investment Management Operations team.
  • Respond to audit inquiries from both external and internal auditors.
  • Participate in various system development and upgrade testing related to investment accounting sub-ledger, investment data repository, and PeopleSoft GL package.
  • Assist on special project deliverables as directed by the department head.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA track preferred.
  • Strong financial accounting background.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access.
  • Public accounting experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of investment products is preferred.
  • Experience with investment accounting systems preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
