Profile Summary:

The Sales Trainer role is extremely vital to the overall success of the sales organization.  This role is responsible for delivering sales concepts, training curriculum and professional development programs that drive sales within our annuity, life and mutual fund businesses. To accomplish this goal, the Sales Development Specialist will collaborate with sales management team to collaborate and offer solutions that meet the evolving needs of our distributors.

Profile Description:

  • Deliver easy to use, high impact sales concepts & tools that simplify the sale and differentiate Voya Financial as the preferred choice.
  • Equip sales team with call campaigns that help our distributors save time, build their reputation and grow their business. 
    • Develop talking points, approved voicemail scripts and recommended marketing materials.
    • Provide thought leadership to the marketing department as they’re creating the marketing strategy, convey sales prioritization for marketing initiatives and discuss ways to improve the advisor experience.
  • Provide sales staff with industry data, market trends and fund/index partner training that increases our knowledge and creditability with the field.
  • Design case studies and mutual fund portfolios for wholesalers and advisors to leverage as samples with their clients.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance sales technology tools such as Morningstar Illustrations, Microsites and other identified proprietary tools. 
    • Outline business requirements and prioritization of projects that drive sales and make tools easier to use.
  • Provide "Sales" voice to the new product launch process & deliver sales development and training solutions to ensure a successful product launch.
  • Deliver high impact, engaging training events that encourages and inspires the audience to take their knowledge and convert it into action that produces results.  
  • Potential travel up to 15%

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years related sales/marketing experience
  • 5+ years experiencing selling mutual funds/annuities/life insurance
  • Series 6 & Life license required
