To execute marketing strategies that drive sales growth, client retention, retirement plan participation, customer engagement, and positive client and consumer outcomes for Voya’s Retirement Tax Exempt Markets business.


  • Develops and manages execution of pro-active, results-focused marketing strategies to drive new sales opportunities and client retention for the Retirement Tax Exempt Markets business.
  • Collaborates with business partners, content development, creative, sales engagement and operations marketing teams and management to drive results and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.   
  • Demonstrates knowledge and insight of the Tax Exempt Markets business, serving as a marketing subject matter expert and bringing a consultative and team-focused approach to problem solving with business partners and marketing colleagues.
  • Develops and owns strategic Tax Exempt Markets projects that drive business results, leading the strategy and execution of project and creative briefs.
  • Develops strong strategic partnerships with Tax Exempt Markets business and sales leaders to ensure business needs are met.
  • Adopt, utilize and role model the Voya Management System (or call it the CI Management System) as part of everyday activities to drive behavior, facilitate and foster team collaboration & empowerment, and promote a problem solving culture. Other duties and projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or related discipline.  Advanced professional degree a plus.
  • 5-7 years relevant experience, preferably retirement and Tax Exempt Markets related marketing, strategy and account management positions
  • Demonstrated success at marketing activities and ability to develop marketing strategies and creative briefs
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong ability to present plans and proposals in group and/or one-on-one settings
  • Demonstrated success in building relationship with executive and sales/service management teams
  • In-depth knowledge of retirement industry, market, and products; experience in all media – print, video, digital, social
