Profile Summary:

Directs the Plan Management function to ensure consistent and quality service to clients as well as adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Profile Description:

  • Directs the establishment of short and long term objectives for the plan management function and implements plans effectively
  • Manages and directs activities of direct and indirect staff in all aspects of the Plan Management function. Selects, leads and coaches staff members. Establishes overall direction of team. Identifies and implements training efforts, makes compensation, hiring and termination decisions. Maintains internal and external customer relationships
  • Reviews operational activities and work processes and make the necessary changes to ensure efficient and effective operation of plan management functions. Participates or leads process improvement efforts
  • Establishes and monitors department budget
  • Collaborates with sales, record keeping and operations staff to ensure plan alignment; Advises staff on plan retention opportunities, sponsors, distribution and TPAs.
  • Availability to travel as needed to meet with our Sponsors and Field Partners
  • Contributes to product development and process improvement efforts
  • Resolves escalated service and communications issues with customers
  • Attending sponsor visits and final presentations
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in Plan Management/Retirement Services; 2+ years of Supervisory Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial service industry and related legal/compliance issues
  • Knowledge of the Tax Exempt Market, 401, 403(b) and 457 plans.

  • Knowledge of systems, technology and equipment
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to handle multiple priorities, strong oral and written communication skills
  • FINRA Series 6 & 26 (where required by plan type)
