Expert analytical resource focusing on highly visible, complex and critical quality and testing priorities. Subject matter expert for quality and testing methodologies and efficiencies to include foresight into technology and risk/compliance requirements, all geared towards IT and business solutions.  Forecasts and establishes QA/Test plans for defining, delivering, enabling and supporting significant information technology components into the organization architecture.  Sets direction and guides teammates through shared QA /TCoE and SDLC quality assurance and control processes and procedures as well as IT and project or system test strategies to optimize system performance and efficiencies, balancing technical and organizational goals.

Profile Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the QA vendor management relationship, driving work and managing outcomes within a Managed Service or vendor outsourced model
  • Leads other QA Analysts to evaluate and test software programs and software development procedures used to validate that programs function according to business requirements and conform to establishment guidelines
  • Serves as the highest level QA/Test expertise, providing leadership across multiple business lines and IT support areas, multiple platforms and/or multiple locations. 
  • Reviews, formulates, defines and oversees system and project QA scope and objectives based on quality assurance and testing standards.
  • Responsible for the development, data quality and reporting of key metrics.
  • Develops, provides input and/or modifies processes  to resolve complex testing and quality process issues to include environment assessments and translation of requirements.
  • Pursues process organizational change that pushes quality “left”, ensuring the quality of all phases of the IT lifecycle from intake through release management
  • Accumulates and provides a thorough understanding of business systems, technology, risk, compliance and process requirements, considering relevance of technology to both current and future environments.
  • Provides senior level consulting services to internal IT and business groups on Quality Assurance and testing deliverables.
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced QA analysts and collaborates with Shared QA/TCoE, other IT teams, and SDLC for optimized standards.
  • Proficient in interpersonal skills to establish productive, efficient and goal oriented partnerships with QA peers, other IT disciplines and the business. 
  • Understands benefits and drives utilization of common tools and automation.
  • Capable of maintaining productive strategic relationship with offshore vendor.
  • Adheres to and supports all organizational and IT policies and procedures regarding software development and project management.

Education and Experience:

  • Eight + years of professional IT experience, with significant technical leadership and QA/testing experience.
  • Experience with Standard Voya QA toolkit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to include preparing and presenting metrics and other information to varied audiences.
  • Detail-orientated yet proficient in reviewing overall scope.
  • Ability to work effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven collaboration with IT and Business constituents.
  • Proven competency at providing insight and input to all IT teams to increase efficiency and improve standards; established problem solving skills.
  • Capable of  working independently in a leadership role for application development and collaboration activities.
