The IT QA Director of our Digital Application suite is responsible for managing the Software Quality Assurance teams and processes to ensure a quality delivery of our digital projects and initiatives.

This individual will be accountable for managing all aspects of the Quality Assurance function including establishing standard and procedures that will ensure the quality off all systems, applications and projects within our Digital Applications programs.  Their scope will including managing a talented group of QA professionals in geographically diverse locations. 

Additional responsibilities include the selection and use of industry leading test tools, automation of manual testing scripts, adherence to project tollgate requirements, as well as bringing in a strategic vision for the future development of the digital QA practices at Voya.

This leader will manage their team and work in a metrics driven environment; defining the right measurements to showcase the value of quality in the overall software delivery lifecycle.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and leadership in a modern SQM environment, bringing industry best practices to their team.
  • Create and implement a SQM digital strategy and execute on such.
  • Partner with Technical teams;  Architects, Technical Delivery Leads and Senior IT leadership to delivery on committed projects.
  • Offer technical expertise to guide teams in the automation and test strategy space.
  • Further define and track quality metrics
  • Engage with the developer community to align best practices for automated unit and integration testing.
  • Work to transform the digital QA team into an industry leading, progressive test management team.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a directly related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years of Quality Assurance experience in IT with 2+ years of direct staff management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success in project execution with involvement in multiple major projects or a sustained record of success as an IT services provider. 
  • DevOps experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing within both Agile and Waterfall SLDCs
  • Ability to develop a quality roadmap and strategy to increase automation, quality delivery and stability required
  • Business and technical background within Financial Services a plus.
  • Experience with SalesForce quality management required, AutoRABIT experience highly valued
  • Further experience in Call Center application quality management a plus
  • Focus on application stability & performance required
