Profile Summary:Financial Planning Consultants are responsible and accountable for retaining and building productive relationships with Voya's existing retail customer base and Voya Plan participants participating in different Voya corporate initiatives. Financial Planning Consultants will be working with existing clients to establish long-standing relationships and grow and retain a book of business. Their primary role will be to provide holistic, advice based guidance through the use of guidance tools and a consultative approach. This includes working directly with clients on their retirement, non-retirement, insurance, brokerage and cash management accounts.

Profile Description:
1. Provides needs-based retirement consulting to Voya Retail Customers.
2. Responsible for efficiently and effectively driving sales and development relationships with customers by understanding their goals and objectives while acquiring and retaining assets in addition to following up on sales and guidance opportunities.
3. Build and maintain a book of business of existing Voya Retail customers to retain and increase total assets, market share and share of wallet.
4. Deepen the relationships with existing customer by offering other Voya solutions, such as managed accounts, insurance, or annuities, based upon customer need and preference
5. Position appropriate solutions in the context of current needs as well as customer's long term financial plan and goals.
6. Identify, execute and follow up on opportunities to gather additional client assets while providing client centered discussions.
7. Execute trades and assist with asset allocation assistance aligned with clients risk tolerance goals and objectives.
8. Attain designated business goals (Retention, AUM Goals, Sales Goals, Customer Satisfaction, and Suitability Standards).
9. Partner with other functions and roles within the organization to drive additional business.
10. Acts with Integrity and adheres to compliance/risk procedures with detailed attention to disclosure policies and product recommendations
11. Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years or sales and/or marketing experience. Previous Retirement/Investment experience
  • Securities Licenses: Series 6 & 63 Series 7,66 required within 90 days of hire and Insurance licenses (Life & Health).
  • Professional Designations such as CFP, ChFC, CFS, PFS and CIC desired but not required.
  • Strong retirement product knowledge
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
