Profile Summary:

Analyzes, researches, and independently responds to broker questionnaires included in Request For Proposals (RFP) and Request For Information (RFI) from existing and prospective clients for Employee Benefits products.  

Profile Description:

  • Accurately complete complex broker questionnaires and RFIs, adhering to compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with sales representatives, underwriters and appropriate Subject Matter Experts (product, plan administration, implementation, etc.) to address the scope of the questionnaire, issues, product questions and establish ownership and timeframe for completion.
  • Assess information needs, conduct research and contact functional representatives to retrieve and coordinate all required information, and coordinate with assigned RFP specialist to process RFPs, including public bids,  through completion, prior to deadline.
  • Meet strict timeliness and accuracy standards for questionnaires while handling multiple priorities.
  • Coordinate with teammates to update and maintain database for questionnaire responses, sample reports and attachments, training documents, reference materials, standard work, production tools and templates. 
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with the sales offices and underwriters assigned.
  • Responsible for quality review of drafts and final documents for RFPs, as well as peer reviews if needed.   
  • Provide flex resources for other teams during non-peak seasons, including attending benefit fairs for new or existing clients. 
  • Edit and update information and responses from Subject Matter Experts to position Voya as carrier of choice for prospective and current clients. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

Knowledge & Experience:

  • BA degree in business related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ relevant experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Employee Benefits products preferable
  • Technical writing or marketing background desirable
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • PC skills including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing
