Profile Summary:

Works independently on recurring analyses and assignments for more senior team members.  Oversight required for complex responsibilities.  Enhances efficiency of existing work processes.

Profile Description:

  • Perform actuarial and statistical analysis to help manage retirement hedge programs with senior actuaries. This includes adequate monitoring, maintenance and reporting of the dynamic hedge programs. Review and analyze equity and interest rates scenarios. This includes review and distribution of risk neutral and real world scenarios, generation of Hull White parameters, and supports some of the asset liability management functions. Maintain quarterly separate account fund mapping process, including calculation of fund regression coefficients. Apply actuarial techniques to analyze, interpret and classify risks and communicate results to more senior actuaries.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering or directly related field.  Minimum two years of experience in asset/liability modeling. Prior experience in key risk metrics including embedded value, cash flow testing, economic capital, risk based capital, stress tests and DAC. Experience with financial projections of new business and in-force business. Knowledge of dynamic policy holder behavior, distributable earnings, surplus and reserves. Experience in retirement services pricing models and profitability calculations. Programming in MoSes and VBA.
