The Regional Business Consultant’s primary role is to provide support for New Business Installation, Individual Customer Solutions and support the Sales and Recruiting efforts for the local business team and Distribution Partners.

The Regional Business Consultant (RBC) supports and represents the Regional Vice President within an assigned field office.  The RBC also supports the Tax Exempt Markets sales and recruiting efforts of the business team, as well as the sales activities of our Distribution Partners.  The RBC is responsible for providing local customer issue resolution and sponsor service as well as, administrative support managing the local field office activities and facilities.  

Principal Responsibilities

-Manage and build relationships with Voya distribution partners (agents/brokers)

-Support customer inquiries and questions relating to Voya processes, procedures and products. 

-Manage/review New Business paperwork and other business paperwork/case applications to ensure completeness of information. 

-Work with distribution partners and office staff to obtain missing information and manage flow of information to appropriate home office departments. 

-Provide superior service to existing plan sponsors, while documenting activities. 

-Support Key Account relations as dedicated local resource as assigned by RVP or as required in support of plan sponsor. 

-Oversee and manage compliance log and branch client files.  Ensure ongoing business practices adhere to State Insurance, FINRA and Securities regulations.

-Assist OSJ in achieving sales and asset retention goals. Support OSJ with the Rep on boarding process when needed, scheduling appointments, working with the licensing and commission areas when the need arises.

Education and Experience:

-2+ years of financial services experience

-FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses required as well as applicable state insurance license preferred

-Prefer 4 year degree

-Proficient computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills

-Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

-Attention to detail and ability to follow a process critical; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
