Job Description
PROFILE SUMMARY:
Provides technical support for treaties related to reinsurance operations processes to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting of business generated and accepted by business units
PROFILE DESCRIPTION:
- Process complex reinsurance transactions according to treaty provisions. Confirm adjustments to bills, analyze statements and create estimates.
- Review reinsurance administration system against treaty terms to ensure accurate data setup. Identify differences and errors and work with BA and management to implement corrections.
- Act as a resource for Reinsurer Audits. Help with the pre-work for audits and address issues and reinsurer questions.
- In addition, participate in our SOX audit review processes.
- Work with direct claims team to ensure accurate processing of claims. Assist the offshore team to ensure proper processing of claims.
- Process and review weekly TAI transaction reports.
- Prepare Financial Reinsurance settlements as assigned.
- Participate in upgrades and testing of reinsurance administration system (TAI).
- Work with reinsurers to answer reinsurer inquires.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years reinsurance, claims and accounting or related experience
- Ability to work independently
- Enjoy problem solving and working with details. Identify issues and bring to resolution.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills
- Familiarity with Reinsurance Treaty Knowledge a plus.
- Intermediate Excel and Access Skills
