Profile Summary:
Voya is embarking on the Enterprise Data Management journey that includes building strong master data management, data governance, data quality, data modeling, and metadata management practices. We are building a comprehensive Data Management Platform that will support these practices. The Data Integrity Consultant will be responsible for the data integrity solution design, implementation, and operationalization.
Position Description and Desired Knowledge:
- Architect and implement comprehensive data integrity solutions in multiple environments.
- Troubleshoot and assists in analyzing and resolving technical issues associated with solution configuration and administration.
- Develop processes for data integrity issues resolution.
Tools and Technologies:
- Competence with RDBMS systems (data modeling, table structures, views, connections, etc)
- Competence with SQL (ability to write complex queries and store procedures)
- Ability to create actionable conclusions based on the Data Profiling results produced by various tools
- Ability to design and code Data Quality Rules, examine them and find solutions to fix data
- Experience with Data Quality Management Tools like Informatica IDQ, Pandora, Syncsort / Trillium, IBM Infosphere, SAS, etc
Bonus Skills:
- Development experience with Data Visualization tools: Tableau, Qlikview, etc
- Understanding of Big Data technology stack: Hadoop, Hive, etc
- Prior experience in programming languages like Linux shell scripts, Java, Python, etc
Knowledge & Experience:
- 5 - 10 years of IT experience
- Understanding of data management concepts including Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, etc
- Ability to research, reproduce, troubleshoot, and solve challenging data issues associated with data movement across organization
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to fill different roles within the team
- Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision
- Background in finance (ideally in insurance or retirement services) is desired
