Summary:

Successful Business Development Managers’ Promote Voya’s products & capabilities to key Broker dealer/Advisory firms.  Develop and implement plans to increase sales within assigned key firms by coordinating marketing, sales, product training/education and support services for assigned focus firms.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key broker dealer focus firms as defined by Voya
  • Develop business plans that identify key firms and list action steps to manage those relationships
  • Work with broker dealer home office contacts to coordinate education for both their sales desks and advisors with the goal of increasing sales.
  • Assist the sales process by educating broker dealers on topics such as Voya Service Model, installation process, ongoing service and procedures.
  • Anticipate and resolve more complex problems for focus firms and key accounts
  • Provide training and make presentations to enhance knowledge of company’s products
  • Serve as Voya point of contact for the home offices of those firms and elite advisors within those firms
  • Provide support of Tier 2 advisors/offices of consultant firms
  • Identify & track activity - proposals being generated vs. close ratio's
  • Identify successes and opportunities for improvements
  • Build action items to address areas for improvement
  • Conduct on-site business reviews - summarize sales, activities and future growth plans.
  • Generate "Hot Sheets" for each firm (summary of sales, activity etc.)
  • Conduct quarterly update calls with focus firm sales leaders   
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the defined contribution marketplace in a service, sales or consulting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Ability to work from home
