Profile Summary:

Support annuity valuation reporting requirements.

Profile Description:

Key responsibilities include:

  • US GAAP, Statutory, and Tax financial reporting and reserve calculations

  • Produce Statutory Annual Statements

  • Opportunity to work on implementation of FASB Long Duration Targeted Improvements

  • Opportunity to enhance communication skills in explaining technical actuarial results to non-technical, non-actuarial audiences; interface with corporate, finance and risk functions

  • Assist with process improvement initiatives

  • Other miscellaneous ad-hoc projects and requests including earnings analysis

  • Participate in the Voya Actuarial Student Rotation Program

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance or related business discipline
  • Completion of 2-4 actuarial exams/modules or near ASA designation
  • 1 – 3 years finance, insurance industry, or actuarial experience
  • Experience with Triton Valuation Engine is a plus
  • Base understanding of insurance products and operations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, detail oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical skills in 1 or more of the following:  Excel spreadsheets, databases, actuarial projection/valuation software
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate with manager and other team members
